Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed the preparation of a comprehensive plan to support wheat farmers and boost production.
Focus on Lowering Farming Costs
Chairing a special meeting, Maryam Nawaz instructed officials to take measures to reduce agricultural input costs before the wheat sowing season begins.

Ensuring Fertiliser Availability
She ordered that fertilisers must be made available in sufficient quantity and that targeted subsidies should be provided to small-scale farmers for relief.
Proposal for Rs 100 Billion Interest-Free Loans
The meeting also agreed on a proposal to provide interest-free loans worth Rs 100 billion before the start of wheat cultivation.
Government’s Full Support
Maryam Nawaz assured that wheat farmers will not be left alone and that the Punjab government will provide maximum facilities and assistance to them.
