Lahore: Thousands of teachers in Punjab now have good news. The School Education Department will reopen the SIS portal on 10 August 2025 for marriage-based transfers.
Only Marriage Transfer Option Available
Under the updated transfer policy, only the marriage category will be active. This will make it easier for teachers to apply after marriage. The facility will also be available even if the spouse does not work in a government job.
Ban on Transfers Lifted
The ban on marriage transfers, which lasted for nearly one and a half months due to rationalisation measures, is now being removed.

Transfers Anytime During the Year
Officials say the aim is to give teachers transfer opportunities throughout the year so they can move according to family needs.
Teachers Advised to Apply Early
Teachers are urged to log in to the SIS portal after 10 August and submit applications quickly to avoid delays in processing.
