In a joint update that brings clarity for students, parents, and teachers across Punjab, both the School Education Department and the Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat have officially confirmed that all schools across the province will reopen on 1st September 2025.
According to the latest post from the School Education Department’s verified Facebook page, summer vacations for all public and private schools in Punjab have now been extended till 31st August 2025, with schools scheduled to reopen from 1st September.
“With approval of competent authority, summer vacations for all the public and private schools have been extended till 31 August 2025. All the schools in province will open on 1st September 2025.” – School Education Department, Punjab
Earlier, Rana Sikandar Hayat, Minister for Education, Punjab, also posted a similar statement on his official Facebook handle confirming the same reopening date, adding credibility to the announcement.
This extension comes amidst ongoing heatwave concerns and gives students a few more weeks of break before resuming academic sessions.
